Staycation: Time to Relax

Have you ever tried Hydrotherapy Spa? Sounds relaxing, right? Luckily, I was able to treat myself to one after a long week of just staying at home and getting bored.

It was my sister’s short break before her summer class starts, when we finally decided to go to Ace Water Spa.  They have a variety of hydrotherapy massages and I swear every one of them is a must-try. Their massages range from soft to moderate to hard.  My favorites were Bubble Bed (soft), Rainfall Acupuncture (moderate) and Water Falls (hard). They also have an area for the kiddos. I tried the Lazy River and I almost fell asleep while floating with the current. So relaxing!

On the left is their lapping pool, while on the right is their hydrotherapy spa area.

If you think you've experienced enough of their Hydrotherapy Spa, the next thing you can try is their Hot
Herbal Pools. They have Mint Pool, Jasmine Pool and Lavender Pool - they smell great, really. The hottest is the Lavender pool with a temperature of 40°Celsius.

My sister and I first dipped in the Mint Pool (36°Celsius) because it's what our body can handle.  Then, we transferred to Jasmine Pool (38°Celsius) before totally immersing in the Lavender Pool. Next, we spent half an hour in their lapping pool, trying to swim in whatever way we know. I'm not much of a swimmer, I just know how to not-drown. LOL! To end our wonderful spa experience, we had a good five-minute sauna.  That was really calming!

You get to avail of their facilities for just PhP 550.  That is four hours of relaxation for you.  I don’t know how much they’d charge though if you will extend, since we only stayed there for two hours, which was already more than enough actually.

How about you, how do you usually reward yourself at the end of the week?
