iBooks and E-Books

Who loves reading? Raise your phone up in the air!

Aside from being a traveler and a hiker, I'm also a bookworm. However, I never really appreciated electronic books, or e-books (iBooks for iOS users) as what we call it, until recently. I joined this group in Facebook (Book Lovers Swap and Sell Site) which gives book lovers like me, a chance to grab pre-loved books for a cheaper price.

Well, on my part I haven't tried buying (or selling for that matter) any books yet. However, I got really thrilled when someone posted about sharing a few of her Haruki Murakami e-book collections. So I asked her to email me some of her personal choices.

I'm currently reading "After the Quake." It's a series of short stories, six to be exact, about different people who were directly or indirectly affected by the earthquake. The story is based in different towns in Japan, but the characters aren't necessarily Japanese, although most are. I'd leave the rest for you to figure out. This is the first Murakami book I'm about to finish, by the way. *pats self on the back*

It's funny because I only get to read whenever I'm on transit, like when I'm waiting in line for the train. Sometimes, when I get in the car and don't feel like driving yet, I just stay inside and read.

I feel sorry for that quote, but I love it.

I can't believe I'd actually appreciate e-books. I love the fact that I can actually bring a lot of "books" all at the same time. Well, I have a bookshelf in my phone. How great is that! I can also highlight quotes I'd like to remember and easily copy and post it to my social media accounts. Aside from that, I can organize my files and separate my PDF from my e-books. Bookmarking is made easier and you can mark as many pages as you want. LOL!

You see what I'm talking about? Amazeballs!

Since, I usually just save my plane tickets in my phone, iBooks is also helpful in that part. I can make folders separating my 2015 and 2016 flights for easier accessibility. Oh, the traveler in me. Teehee!

Collections is like your iBooks' playlist

I'm still not choosing e-books over hardbound or paperbacks, but this will definitely be my second choice of book. I almost forgot to mention, e-books are downloadable for free, you just have to master the art of researching well.

Say hello to my plane tickets

Thanks for reading. I hope you'll learn to love e-books as much as I do. By the way, I'm cooking up a lot of posts for you guys - Mt. Pinatubo, Angeles City Flying Club, and Palawan. I'm so excited to share them to you soon.
