It's my Birthday!

Welcome to the new age!

Twenty-five years ago, on the 13th of July, I was one of the newborn babies who finally met the beauty of this world. Imagine, 25 years have already gone by. I don't know what to feel, actually. I'm not even sure if I'm ready for another set of challenges. Only Lord knows.

Oh well! Goodbye early 20's because I'm already in my mid 20's! (Wait. Did I say mid? Uh-oh!)
Before anything else, I would like to thank the people who have become a big (or small) part of my life. Those who left, thank you for making me realize I can actually live without you. Those who happen to just pass by, thanks for the time you spared to know me a little. See you again soon? And of course, to those who came and chose to stay, I will forever cherish every moment I have with you - my family, my closest friends, my boyfriend, my office mates - thanks a lot for making me feel loved and wanted. Of course, the Lord, for blessing me with so much, I couldn't ask for more.

ILOVEYOU! You are one of the reasons I will never get tired of thanking God.
Missing my Mama and my sister who are both in
Davao and my Papa who's in Cebu

So, along with my birthday, I made a list of fives that add up to twenty-five. Before blowing another set of candles next year, below are the things I want to achieve.

List of fives to accomplish while Twenty-Five:

Five books to read

1. Hunger Games Trilogy (Yes, I'd still want to read this even though the movie versions are out)
2. The remaining John Green books that I haven't read (Will Grayson, Will Grayson and An Abundance of Katherines). I'm currently reading the latter.
3. The Game of Thrones (because I've seen the series, I'm still stuck in the first book)
4. The First Phone Call from Heaven
5. The Little Prince (I've read this a lot of times, but I'd still want to read it again)

Five places to visit

1. Virgin Island in Bohol
2. El Nido and Coron, Palawan
3. Kota Kinabalu
4. Gigantes Island in Iloilo
5. Asik-Asik Falls in Cotabato

Five mountains to climb

1. Mt. Kanlaon
2. Mt. Pundaquit
3. Mt. Apo
4. Mt. Pulag (Akiki)
5. Mt. Kitanglad

Five food places

1. Lemon Pie House (Sagada)
2. Swiss Deli (Davao)
3. Lantaw Native Restaurant (Busay Hills, Cebu)
4. Claude's Le Cafe de Ville (Davao)
5. La Vie Parisienne (Cebu)

Five activities to try

1. Bungee jumping
2. Sky diving
3. Scuba diving
4. Trail running
5. <Insert more extreme activities ending in -ing here>

Looking back, being a 24-year old wasn't bad at all. I'm in a stage where everything I've ever wanted is already in my possession, well, not material-wise (I still don't have a GoPro. LOL!) You know, those things money can't buy.

I was able to explore nature by hiking mountains. I traveled to three Asian countries and experienced different cultures. I found a permanent job, from almost a year of doing freelance. And oh, the greatest achievement of it all, I met the love of my life. Ayee! *Victory Dance*

On being a 25-year old, I'm thinking of studying again and maybe starting a small business, too. I'd also want to continue traveling. Truth is, I have a lot of things I wanna achieve before reaching 30. I believe this is the exact age to begin fulfilling my goals, to start sticking to my plans, and to stop dreaming and start doing. There's no other time because nobody's getting any younger right?

Bring it on, life! I have a lot of support and love around me, a little bit of challenge won't hurt. Cheers to being 25!
