A new chapter is here, and I'm talking about the Year 2015. But before
I put down my own book of 2014, I would like to look back to an amazing year full of
happy beginnings and unforgettable moments. So far, I consider this year as one
of the best - yes, I'm owning it. LOL!
My 2014
highlights:
1. Forever
grateful: I will never forget the time I was able to work with the greatest people
in the fashion industry. Working for the reality show MEGA Fashion Crew Reloaded taught
me a lot about fashion and how the industry works. I was fortunate enough to
work with Allison Harvard, Michael Carandang, Suki Salvador and Avel Bacudio,
to name a few. Thanks to One MEGA Group for that rare opportunity. I hope I’ll
be given another chance to work with these amazing people again soon. (February
2014)
2. Say hello to yet another blog, for the nth time: I made another blog and I’m pertaining
to the page you are currently reading. This is not my first attempt to make a blog, by the way.
The truth is I can’t remember the number of blogs I had before this. LOL! But I promise I’ll stick to this
one from now on. (April 2014)
3. Campaign for Hana Shampoo: When a friend tells you to try joining some contest, you just follow. Well I tried, and luckily, I succeeded. It was a campaign search for the next Hana Shampoo ambassador wherein I was chosen as one of the semifinalists. Though I didn't win, being on the page of MEGA Magazine is already more than enough. #NoFilterBeauty (April 2014)
4. Beach-ing alone for the first time: Before my first hiking escapade, I went on a
solo trip to the beach. Every time I tell people I did this, the only thing they asked me was, “Why?” It wasn’t actually
bad at all. In fact, it was the most freeing experience I’ve done alone and I’m planning to do it again, soon. (May 2014)
5. One for the road (literally): Who would have thought my face would be on a tarp hanging on one of the streets in Cebu? Thanks to Rica, my college friend, for trusting me to model for BN Whitening Shoppe Cebu.
6. Four lovely treats: In line with my Number 5 above, Rica gave me four of their amazing products – CC Cream, scar cream, cheek and lip tint, and face & body soap. She sent it to me on my birthday. Visit their FB page for reviews and orders. (June 2014)
7. Four minor climbs: June of 2014, my
friend Kat invited me to hike Mt. Batolusong in Rizal, which then marked the start of my new-found hobby. My current
mountain count as of now is five (5) – four minor climbs (Mt. Batolusong,
Mt. Batulao, Mt. Gulugod Baboy, Mt. Pico de Loro) and one major (Mt. Pulag-via easy trail though). (June-November
2014)
8. Four destinations: My closest friends
here in Manila have this thing about travelling to one local and international
destination every year. Well actually we started just last year. LOL! This year we conquered three countries and one
famous local destination, namely, Singapore, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur and
Boracay, respectively. (June and August 2014)
9. A medal for the Runner: I got a medal for making
it to the top 10 of the Magdalo Run 2014 women’s division. That's another first for me. (July 2014)
10. Four months before 2014 ends: I was able
to get an office job. From months of being a freelancer, I’m back to a daily schedule of
10 a.m. - 7 p.m. job. Thanks to my new 360 team for accepting me, I found a bunch of new, cool artist friends. (August 2014)
11. After like.. forever: My love life is finally blooming again. Indeed, you will truly get
what you deserve, in God’s time. And yes, I strongly believe I deserve this
happiness. (October 2014)
12. Fourteen
plus four: Aside from birthdates, another important date to remember is October
18th, our #lovesary. Uhm, I kind of invented that word, actually. LOL! (October 2014)
There you go! For the people who became part of MY 2014, a big thanks to you! I'm hoping for 2015 to be kind to me. Here's to hoping that this is also going to be a great year. More travels, more climbs, more love, more success, lesser drama.
How was your 2015 going so far?
